I am Mehran Hashemi, a poet and published author based in Tehran, Iran. From a young age, I have been captivated by the power of words and their ability to convey the deepest emotions and thoughts. Writing has always been my way of understanding the world, and through poetry, I explore the many facets of the human experience, from love and joy to sorrow and loss.
My journey as a poet has been deeply personal. With every poem, I aim to capture the fleeting moments of beauty in the everyday, to give voice to the often unheard, and to reflect on the complexities of life. Through my words, I hope to create a space where others can find connection, healing, and understanding.
Over the years, I have published several books of poetry, including *Light Needs Darkness to Shine* (2023), *Drinking Ink* (2024), and *Caged Hope* (2024). Each of these books reflects different aspects of my personal and poetic journey. My upcoming book, *Homeless Thoughts* (2025), delves into themes of mental despair, solitude, and hope.
Writing is not just an art for me—it’s a way of navigating the world. I hope that my poems, whether short and free verse or deeply reflective, resonate with others and provide a moment of clarity in their own lives.
In addition to writing, I also enjoy connecting with fellow writers and poets from around the world, exchanging ideas and inspiration. This journey, for me, is about more than just words; it’s about building a community of people who can share their thoughts and emotions freely through poetry.
