Mehran Hashemi (مهران هاشمی), also known as “Hush M E” (born December 11, 1993), is a Persian writer, poet, author, editor, and songwriter. He was born in Tehran, Iran.
Hashemi began writing poetry in English in 2019.
He published his first poetry collection, Light Needs Darkness to Shine, in 2023, his second poetry collection, Drinking Ink, in 2024, and his third book, a mini-poetry collection titled Caged Hope, in 2024.

He’s also contributed to two anthologies,
“My Sad is Sadder than Yours” in 2023
and “Poets, Straight from the Notes App” in 2024.

The broken pieces of his soul and the pieces of his poetry are intertwined.

He’s unable to purchase books from Amazon or any other international online bookstore since they’re not available in Iran and he can’t have an international bank account due to the political restrictions in the country.

“he’s an author who’s not allowed to have his books”

I love photography!

These pictures below are from Iran

and they were taken by me using simple phones over the years.
